Principal viola in TheChamberOrchestra of Europe (until 1996).Concert career as soloist (e.g. with C.Abbado/Carnegie Hall) and chamber musician around the world. Regular invitations to important international music festivals.Co-principal violist in the illustrious Lucerne Festival Orchestra.
Professorship for viola and chamber music in Hochschule Detmold/Germany, and Madrid/Spain, Escuela Reina Sofia. International masterclasses, e.g. Salzburg Mozarteum and Jury member, e.g. ARD competition.Was artistic leader of the Kammermusiktage Osnabrück,The chamber music AcademieThüringen.the summeracademy Detmold, the chamber music Gran Canaria, now the “Cantabile” Festival Lisboa. Wide repertoire includes contemporary concertos.
